At the end of last year, we launched v2 of our video software, Broadcast Bridge 🎉
We’ve written a blog series about all the new features, here’s what we’ve covered so far:
- a native app: making it simpler to run Broadcast Bridge
- End-to-end tally: so your participants can see what’s live and what’s on preview
- websource: making it possible to stream using just a URL
- WHIP: allowing you to stream live video directly from your encoder and straight into the Broadcast Bridge server
- SRT: send media directly to Broadcast Bridge to share with your team and talent
Today’s post is all about how we support AJA and DeckLink cards:
Start using Broadcast Bridge with SDI
In order for us to support using these capture cards, you’ll need to be running our Bridge desktop app locally which will automatically pick up on your machine having one of these cards already installed. The Bridge app will then make those outputs available to you, and from there you can connect a stream of one of your remote guests to one of those outputs; all via the Broadcast Bridge online interface.
Selecting the output from the UI.
Tally via SDI
We also support tally via SDI via these capture cards - a feature we’re immensely proud of and something we believe is fairly unique in this space. Simply tell us which of your SDI inputs is the one connected to your ATEM switcher and we’ll start collecting tally information regardless of whether you’re using an AJA or DeckLink card.

Getting going with DeckLink and AJA cards couldn’t be simpler. It’s just plug and play and off you go.
Ready to get started?
If you need support, you can email us on [email protected].
Did you know we offer a 7-day free trial of Broadcast Bridge? No card required so you can test it out without being locked in. There’s also the option to cancel at any time if you do decide to sign up for Broadcast Bridge beyond the trial. 👍
