Scout Suite is live: software built for how Scout groups actually run

Everycast Labs, Scout Suite, Scouting, Product Launch, Group Phones2 min read

When we're not building software at Everycast Labs, we're Scout leaders. We're also trustees of our own group, which means we've sat on both sides of what goes into running a successful Scout group: running sections week to week, and being the ones legally accountable when the admin behind it goes wrong. The tools we were actually using just weren't up to the job. Scout Suite is what we built instead.

It's one place for the things a Scout group, Explorer Unit, district or county (or region or area, depending on your part of the country) actually needs to run: members and waiting lists, finance and Gift Aid, badges and programme, events and attendance, safety and trustee-level risk assessments, and a parent portal that parents actually use.

Real phone numbers for Scouting

The bit nobody else has isn't a single feature, it's a whole layer the existing competitors don't currently touch: real phone numbers for Scouting. A group gets a proper UK number, tied to a call flow you build yourself, which routes to leaders carrying that number as an eSIM on their own phone, so a leader can answer, transfer, or dial another leader on the group's number without ever handing out a personal mobile number.

Volunteers keep their privacy; parents get one number that always reaches someone. And because call flows can be shared across an organisation, a district can hand every group in scope the same incident line, or a camp can run one shared flow that any group's leader, and their eSIM, can dial straight into for the weekend, without anyone swapping personal numbers first. It's about making things easier for everyone: leaders, trustees and parents.

And this is just one of many features Scout Suite has: an MCP server for integrating into AI tooling, fully documented APIs, and equipment tracking with full check-in/check-out support.

Built for the actual shape of Scouting

We also built it for the actual shape of Scouting. A standalone Explorer Unit is a peer of a Group, not a Group with one section switched on. Districts and counties get roll-up dashboards without taking over a group's own data. And it's not priced per section: £60 a year covers a Group or Explorer Unit outright, with unlimited sections, leaders and young people, and volume pricing for districts and counties who want to pay centrally. Sixty days free, no card needed to set up.

Today Scout Suite is available for UK-based Scout organisations, and we're targeting other areas by the end of the year.
